Former 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh’s pursuit of a return to an NFL head coaching job picked up one notable endorsement over the weekend from his former Niners quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.
A report from USA Today’s Mike Freeman said Kaepernick responded to a direct message on social media that asked the former 49ers for his thoughts on Harbaugh potentially returning to the NFL.
“Harbaugh is the one coach you call when you want to compete for a championship. Period,” Kaepernick replied to USA Today.
In some ways, Kaepernick being this fully and completely behind Harbaugh is a surprise.
